about zsofi szabo, our creative director

Zsofi Szabo is a multidisciplinary designer and creative director of her independent brand zofi.

Formerly studied graphic design, fashion design and photography at an independent art studio ‘91 studio’ in Budapest. She has recently obtained her BA diploma at ENSAD Paris majoring in Fashion Design and Accessories. She is currently studying at UAL Chelsea College of Arts in Textile Design Department.

” My motivations to create my own brand are coming from my personal experiences and struggles I have lived through. Hoping to create a positive environment in the world of fashion to help you break through your fears and personal struggles surrounding your identity. “

Her work is based on an intuitional approach to design. Her design practice includes clothing, accessories and textile design, accompanied by academic research which she is deeply passionate about.

With an intention to develop her work in an environmental-conscious approach, her pieces are products of personal themes merged with global reflections on the world.

zofi is a project she started at the age of 18 when she moved to Paris from Hungary, where she grew up. The brand has been growing from being a tiny t-shirt sale to a brand putting out carefully developed collection twice a year. The production structure includes mainly one-of-a-kind pieces, reaching people through sales and rent or loan services. Having been published online and in print, featured in showrooms internationally and collaborating with exemplary creatives, the goal of zofi is to continue to create and nurture a community of people who all wish to wear something they can trust in their everyday lives, while advocating for beauty in uniqueness and individuality.

OUR STORY

  • ‘zofi’ was founded in December 2021 by Zsofi Szabo, 3 months after moving to from her birthplace, Budapest, Hungary to Paris, France.


    After obtaining her BA diploma at ENSAD Paris majoring in Fashion Design and Accessories, she decided to continue her studies at Chelsea College of Arts and Design in London, UK, majoring in Textile Design.


    Aspiring to represent people of all genders, sexual orientations, body types and personal histories, ‘zofi’ aims to make you fall in love with your imperfections and live a fulfilling life with your own unique, personal approach.

  • Creating small, non-seasonal collections with an environment-friendly production process. Our clothing is produced in minimal quantities, made through an on-demand selling process. We are very invested in using second-hand materials, and also upcycling in every aspect of it.

  • We are hoping to continue spreading the universal message of acceptance and freedom, and develop exciting projects with unique concepts, using our creative director zsofi’s personal and authentic visual language and sense of creative direction.

    We are also planning to develop our network by continuing to develop meaningful relationships with our collaborators and customers.
